Based Yeovil, Somerset
A Contracts Manager is required to work on site at a busy engineering company based in Somerset. You will represent the company at their customers site and be responsible for the plant maintenance process. You will ensure maximum uptime of plant whilst achieving year on year reduction in costs. You will ensure that sub-contract staff are provided and adequately vetted. You will make sure that all planned maintenance tasks are undertaken within schedule and no calibration certification expires. There will be direct responsibility for the management of two support staff.
With a background in engineering you will have had previous experience within a similar role, for example, Maintenance Manager, Facilities Manager or Contracts Manager. You will have experience in the the successful execution of plant maintenance contracts. You will have an excellent undersatnding of H&S requirements. Being based on site with a client you will possess excellent customer facing skills. You will also have excellent commercial skills with strong supplier negotiation experience and proven skills in driving down year on year costs
