Logistics Administrator – Mitcham

Salary – £30k per annum

Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm

We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Administrator to join our client in the Mitcham area.

Overview

* You will be a meticulous Logistics administrator to support all business streams and provide exemplary administrative and logistical support for sales, production and delivery for all furniture sales, working closely and cross functionally at both sites, ensuring timely and effective processing of orders.

* To give support to the Managing Director, with special orders including furniture and lighting.

* To support the lighting department with sales and the processing of replacement glass orders for the lighting collection.

* To be based primarily at our site in Mitcham, with occasional travel to the other office where necessary.

Job Description

Sales administration:

* Generating quotes and sales orders for both lighting and furniture.

* Understanding of product codes, custom work and capturing client information, and order details.

* Processing of orders, sending VAT receipts.

* Placing purchase orders with furniture suppliers through Unity, managing lead times with regular updates.

* Working with the Sales Representative to decide whether to allocate stock or choose to place new orders with suppliers.

* Client approval photos for furniture.

* Dispatching Furniture, Replacement glass and other orders, ensuring balances are paid and goods released.

* Managing lead times and where necessary changing production plans.

* Schedule and carry out the monthly forensic review of all orders with the Sales Director.

* When required assist with the management of client debtors.

Glass:

* Quoting, and placing orders for glass in our IT systems.

Logistics:

* Internal deliveries between the warehouse and showroom.

* External deliveries between clients / suppliers.

* Stock keeping and inventory management at Mitcham and Pimlico.

* Collaboration and coordination on events and shop displays.

Internal processes:

* Support to Hawker Antiques in Antiquity software, with administration and deliveries.

* Ensure stock transactions in the systems is up to date with the correct information and updated with any changes in real time.

Qualifications:

* Some knowledge of antiques, art or interiors is preferable.

* Logistics experience is preferable.

* Excellent administration skills, including high levels of organisation, a practical approach and the ability to multi-task.

* A high level of technological literacy, with an ability to navigate customised software, alongside broader and more general IT tasks.

* You enjoy working in a team, comfortable working under pressure, and unflappable in the face of unforeseen hurdles.
