Legal Indemnity Underwriter
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £65000/annum
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, analytical and detail conscious individuals who have gained a few years experience in either Commercial or Residential Legal Indemnity Underwriting, providing a quality, professional service, whilst building business relationships and maximising business placement.
Qualified Property Solicitors / Lawyers seeking a change in direction would also very much be of interest
As a Legal Indemnity Underwriter you will play a key role in driving business forward in the UK. The role will involve underwriting commercial legal indemnity risks, negotiating and maximising business profitability by means of effective and flexible underwriting decision and techniques.
You will have significant limits and authority on cases of technical complexity.
You will build strong relationships with clients, solicitors, brokers and business units through a range of mediums including presentations, meetings and corporate events. In addition you will provide support and guidance to trainee underwriters to develop their technical/commercial proficiency and contribute to ongoing initiatives and projects
