Intellectual Property Specialist
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £45000/annum Excellent benefits package
This is a permanent role where you can either work 100% from home, or be in the office, supporting a leading firm of IP/Patent Attorneys. The office is based in Southampton but you will not need to be on site so our client is happy for you to be based anywhere in the UK (please note for tax reasons we are unable to consder people who plan to work remotely from outside of the UK).
They are looking for a senior level person to support their IPSS work which includes QA, processing, allocating and checking work and training within the IPSS function. EPO Mailbox and Inprotech experience are a must along with strong IP experience.
* You’ll be involved with actioning high level complex work around incoming correspondence and the firm’s IP portfolio management system
* Liaising with IP Attorneys, other staff and external parties to process work and notifying of correspondence received
* Monitoring and flagging due dates to ensure all deadlines are met
* Training and mentoring others in the team
* Checking work allocated and updating the firm’s IP Portfolio management systems
* Other general support tasks to ensure that client and internal standards are met and the IPSS function is effective
The ideal person for this post will have worked in a similar IP role, either on the client / industry or attorney side. Ideally you'll have used both EPO mailbox and Inprotech and have patent record and formalities experience.
