Debt Recovery Paralegal

Sue Ross Legal are working with an ABS firm based on the North side of the city centre, who are looking for a Paralegal to join their Debt Recovery team.
To be considered for this role you should have experience of handling small or fast track defended debt claims (or any other form of small claims, defended civil litigation claims) and have excellent telephone and communication skills.
Duties will include;
* Making and receiving telephone calls from businesses and individuals to recover outstanding debts.
* Updating inhouse systems with accurate details of conversations
* Working to personal and team targets.
* Entering details of payments made onto inhouse systems
* Negotiating commitments to resolve overdue accounts
* Monitoring negotiated arrangements and commitments to ensure they are adhered to
* Reviewing pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal action
* Initiate county court legal actions for debt recovery and then progressing them through to judgment and enforcement
* Pursuing defended claims through small claims, fast track and multi-track by drafting pleadings, witness statements and producing court bundles.
* Advising clients on prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non-payment
* Working with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all times
