Corporate Commercial Solicitor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £60000/annum
My client is recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Corporate Commercial department in their Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk office.
My clients firm is well respected regionally and has a friendly, flexible approach. Ideally they would like to attract an ambitious solicitor from a large regional or London firm who wishes to join a progressive, forward thinking company; situated in a part of the country offering a good life/work balance.
The appointed person will:
* Have experience of a mix of general company and commercial work;
* Be qualified with around 2 years PQE;
* Work independently but also with the other members in the Team;
* Be experienced in the following range of work:
* Transactional projects – both buying and selling
* General Commercial contracts
* Dealing with business values up to approximately £10m
* Mergers and Acquisitions
* SME businesses
* Joint Venture and Financing
* Restructures
Essential Skills:
The appointed person will:
* Demonstrate technical proficiency in all aspects of law involved in the role;
* Have a strong background in Commercial Contract work;
* Possess a commercial and creative mind set;
* Be excellent at managing, sustaining and developing client and other business relationships
* Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively;
* Be confident enough to work independently;
* Have proven ability to work to deadlines;
* Excel at time and file management
* Have excellent, verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrate good IT skills, preferably with experience in case management systems;
* Be willing to network and develop business contacts on behalf of the department and wider firm as necessary.
