Our client a long established multi office Legal 500 firm of solicitors, have a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join their expanding Employment law team based in Colchester.
As an employment solicitor you will be part of their busy and highly regarded team . The position will offer a mixed workload to advise clients seeking employment law advice which is an even mixture of employer clients and employee clients . The prime role of the Fee Earner is to assist clients in pursuit of their best interests, in the conduct of Employment law matters and to represent them in negotiations and employment tribunal proceedings
The Role
* Providing legal and practical advice related to employment law issues which may include grievance, disciplinary, dismissal, redundancy, corporate re-structuring and TUPE
* Advising on both contentious and non- contentious employment issues
* HR advisory work
* Corporate support work
* Delivery of in house training to clients
* Assist with the strategic growth of the employment team, by networking, marketing
* Possess up to date employment law knowledge
* Experience of having handled litigation cases from conception to completion
* To ensure the firms procedures are followed when recording time and managing the billing process
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and with other professional contacts
Skills and Experience
* The ideal person will possess a minimum of 3 years PQE within Employment Law
* Our client is happy to consider candidates who have experience with , Immigration Law, Enterprise Management Incentive Schemes and/or defending clients against prosecution from Statutory authorities
* Equally candidates with High Court Litigation experience (Whether re Employment Law issues or other Commercial Disputes ) will be considered
* Possess the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
* You will be self-motivated , organised with the ability to prioritise and manage your own work load
* Demonstrate a pro- active approach to your work and successful business development
