Legal Contract Advisor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum
Due to an increase in major expansion in demand, my client has a fantastic opportunity to join their company as a Legal Contract Advisor! Based in York, the company prides itself on its role in the Net Zero and Climate Change agenda. Within the role you’ll be responsible for Advising on both the company project roll out programmes and strategic and operational aspects of a wide range of property related issues.
Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing and managing a growing property portfolio of leasehold properties
* Leading property related transactions including new habitat site development
* Drafting and negotiating habitat leases and habitat management agreements
* Managing the business’ relationship with external counsel on project rollout out and wider matters
* Advising on broader legal areas such as commercial contracts, data protection and regulatory.
The ideal candidate:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues
* Passionate about the opportunity to deliver positive environmental outcomes through your legal career
* Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
* Previous and/or current experience in a real estate, agricultural or conveyancing legal team in private practice
* At least 3 years of PQE experience
It is not expected that you will have non-property experience but, with support from the company’s external counsel, they will assist you in developing your expertise in the range of services required of inhouse counsel.
