Are you a Family Solicitor seeking a mixed Private and Legal Aid role?

An East Ham based Law Firm is seeking a 1 to 2 Year PQE Solicitor to handle a caseload of both Private and Legal Aid files. This role is ideal for a Legal Aid Solicitor who wants to expand their knowledge of Private Family work. There is plenty of work available, and there is no need to business develop, though if you would like to get involved in that area, they would be happy for you to do so.

The firm is well respected in the local area and generates a lot of business through word of mouth, and smart marketing. There is an excellent career path on offer, and you will know exactly what you need to do in order to progress. Half of the firms Partners trained with the firm, and there is a genuinely rapid path to Partnership for the right person.

Home working is encouraged for a couple of days per week, though due to the nature of the work you would need to come to the office for three days. IT systems are modern, and working from home will be seamless. Everything you need to work from home will be provided including mobile phone, computer, and desk should you require one. There is strong secretarial support in place also.

You will ideally have some knowledge of childcare cases and local authority work. You will ideally be able to handle your own final hearings. Children’s panel membership would be a definite plus, but not essential. The firm will support you to go through the membership process should you need them to. They will also support you with any professional courses you would like to attend.
