Salary : £30000 – £50000/annum

My client is searching for a Private Client Solicitor to join their Devizes, Wiltshire team on a hybrid basis.

Person Specification:

Experience and knowledge:

• 0-3 years' PQE. If newly qualified, at least one 6 month seat in this legal area.
• Experience of managing own work load effectively, particularly in a pressurised environment
• Strong organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and expand upon knowledge
• Flexible approach to work
• Experience of liaising with courts/tribunals/other legal bodies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to high quality and a customer service focus
• Experience of using a Case Management System
• Ability to travel to court, clients etc
• Strong ICT skills.

Overview of the Role:

The role of the solicitor within the Private Client team at the firm is to undertake fee-earning work for private clients of the practice across the following high-level areas:

• Probate and estate administration
• Wills
• Tax
• LPAs
• Lifetime Tax Planning
• Farming and agricultural estate planning
• Court of Protection
• IPFD Claims
• Trusts
• Conveyancing

The role is to assist a partner with an established caseload, working in conjunction with, and independently of, the partner concerned. A sound knowledge of probate and deeds of variation is essential for this role. A knowledge of trusts and tax would be an advantage.
