Salary : £25000 – £60000/annum

My client is searching for an experienced Private Client Fee Earner to join their Canterbury, Kent or Thanet, East Kent offices.
Job Purpose
• To advise on a broad range of private client matters, undertake research, prepare documents and correspondence, interview clients, negotiate on behalf of clients and meet billing targets
• To contribute to our mission of establishing lifelong relationships with all our clients by anticipating and responding to their needs for quality legal services
Main Duties
• To manage a varied caseload of private client matters including:
– Wills
– Probate
– Lasting Powers of Attorney
– Court of Protection cases
• To take a proactive approach in building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
• To maintain and promote the good image and reputation of the firm
• To assist colleagues, Directors and Heads of Department with marketing and training events and initiatives
• To manage and supervise junior staff and support staff as required including assisting with recruitment, training etc
• To use the case management software
General Duties
• To work in a flexible way to ensure that the workload is completed and to undertake any other jobs commensurate with the level of the post.
• To establish, maintain and enhance team-working with colleagues and staff of the firm
• To keep confidential all information about individuals and the business of the firm and work within the guidelines of the GDPR.
• To abide by our Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Anti Money Laundering Policies and all other relevant policies
Experience
• Significant experience in Private Client Matters (ideally 1 years+ PQE) as a Paralegal, Legal Executive, Solicitor or equivalent
• Experience of working on own initiative with minimum supervision
• Experience of establishing, building and sustaining professional relationships with clients and other contacts
Other Desirables
• Relevant professional qualification (desirable)
• Good understanding of Anti Money Laundering responsibilities and GDPR requirements
• Satisfactory DBS
