Job Type : Permanent, Part Time, Part Time

Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum pro rata plus benefits

We are delighted to be partnering with our client based in the lovely town of Dunbar, to hire a part time Private Client Paralegal to join a lovely hands on team.

Our client is flexible on hours/days and can offer between 3 – 5 days to suit the right individual and their needs.

This firm work with clients across the UK and Globally, and provide a first class service to all clients.

What will you be involved in?

* Conduct work on case files on a day-to-day basis and answer clients’ or other queries in full, under supervision of the Partner

* Undertake administrative duties including (but not exclusively) attending to and advising clients under supervision, drafting letters, liaising with financial institutions, preparing applications for confirmation and appropriate accompanying executry forms; preparing accounts of charge and discharge, and all other documents/tasks relating to the administration of the estate;

* Registering Powers of Attorney and liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian;

* Checking all documentation thoroughly prior to implementing;

* Keeping up to date with changes in the law;

* Reading relevant literature and attending courses as part of continuing professional development (CPD);

* Maintaining high standards of professional conduct while generating adequate practice income, ensuring that the fees earned sufficiently exceed total costs and expenses incurred

* Working out what needs to be done to solve a client’s problems;

* Handling telephone calls;

* Maintaining diaries along with using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, etc.

What do we require from you?

* Manage your own caseload

* Proven track record of experience of working in Private Client

* Ideally you will be qualified as a Paralegal, however we will consider those with hands on industry experience
