Our client is expanding therefore they are recruiting for a Family Law Solicitor. This is an exciting, fast paced role working for one of the top 30 conveyancing firms in the UK.
Roles and responsibilities of the Family Law Solicitor:
* Responsible for a caseload of Private Family matters including: Divorce and Dissolution of civil partnerships; Financial remedy; Cohabitation agreements; Matters pertaining to children, including access, financial provision, and separation agreements
* Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures
* Financial control with particular regard to cash flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures
* Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrals
* Win new work from existing and new clients and referrers
* Assist colleagues with their fee earning work where appropriate
* Attendance of and contribution towards departmental meetings
Candidate requirements:
* Minimum of 4/5 years PQE experience
* Resolution accreditation or similar professional standard recognition (desirable)
* Proven track record of acting for clients in divorce and financial remedy and private law Children Act cases
* Proven, measurable success in winning new client business through referrals and business development activities
* Financially motivated/target driven
* Organised and meticulous with competent file management and effective credit control
* IT literate, fully conversant with Outlook and Word and used to working with computerised case management systems
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* An excellent communicator both verbal and written
