Due to the continued growth of our client's business, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join their Corporate team, with a view to taking the role as the head of that department.

Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience and the nature of the role means there is significant opportunity for progression to directorship and equity interests if sensible targets can be achieved.

The role would involve initially reporting to and working with the CEO (who currently leads this practice area) to develop the team and the offering. The successful candidate would directly manage a small existing team of solicitors and trainee solicitors and a key part of the role will be to develop the skills of team members.

To be suitable, you will need to need to have at least 5+ years post qualification experience undertaking:

* The lead, structuring and running a variety of M&A transactions;

* Liaison with lawyers in other practice areas to drive M&A transactions to completion;

* The structuring and drafting Shareholders Agreements and other Joint Venture Agreements;

* Compliance with Corporate Finance Requirements and the drafting and perfecting Facility Agreements and Security Documentation; and

* Business Development for M&A work.

* A client following would be excellent, but not essential.

* Wider experience in Commercial Contract drafting and/or Property Law would again be excellent, but not essential
