Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £30000 – £50000/annum

My client is searching for a Court of Protection – Solicitor to join their Sale, Greater Manchester offices.

Person Specification

• 2 – 5 years PQE with at least 2 years Court of Protection experience
• Professional and academic qualifications as required for the role.
• Computer literacy
• An effective communicator, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs
• Work on statutory will applications
• Work on gift applications
• Prepare annual OPG accounts.
• Liaising with Investment Managers and Financial Planners
• Organise the purchase of properties and adaptations to meet client needs.
• Demonstrate In depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• To comply with the requirements of the firm’s policies and procedures
• To ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information
• Supervision of fee-earning work undertaken by junior colleagues
• Participation in marketing activities whether on a firm wide, departmental or office basis
• Ensure good working relationships with external third parties, institutions, and organisations.
• Take personal responsibility for keeping up to date with changes and developments in the Law
