Sue Ross Legal are working with a reputable, locally renowned law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant.

Our client employs over 30 legal professionals who provide a wide range of personal and business legal services from three Yorkshire offices. They are now looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join the busy team due to continued growth.

The prime role of the Conveyancing Assistant is to provide direct support to the fee earners to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency.

Key Duties:

* Prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing.

* Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures

* Providing quotes to potential clients

* Liaising with clients and third parties.

* Drafting Contracts and Transfer Deeds

* Diary management for the fee earner

* Updating the case management system and portals.

* Carrying out property searches

* Carrying out Land Registry searches

* Dealing with completions

* Other duties where required.

Person Specification – Key Skills

* Conveyancing experience essential

* IT literate with proficiency in Outlook and Word

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Organized and able to prioritise own workload

* Attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively within a team as well as individually, while being proactive and using own initiative

This is a full time, permanent position although part time hours will be considered for suitable candidates.
