Salary : £14109/annum

Part Time – 30 hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week.
Additional hours may be available depending on business needs. Some evening and weekend working may be required, but would be agreed in advance.

A good Kitchen Porter is essential for helping the kitchen run smoothly. We are seeking to appoint a Kitchen Porter to join our experienced Catering Team.

You will have a willingness to handle various responsibilities, follow instruction and work under supervision. Our refectory produces food for both day and boarding students, as well as for school and external events.

You should be reliable and hardworking with the ability to provide exceptional service and deliver consistently high standards. Some kitchen experience would be desirable, but not essential.

We are looking for someone who:

* Has great customer service skills and is comfortable in a customer facing environment.

* Enjoys learning new skills and has an enthusiasm for catering.

* Works well under pressure and is comfortable in a flexible, fast paced working environment.

* Enjoys working as part of a team.

You will also be involved in supporting the Chefs in meal preparation and learn different methods of both cleanliness and food preparation. Whether you love this role or aspire to move up into a Chef role, you will be always willing to learn more and find new and exciting ways of working.
