Sherwood House is a stunning registered care home that supports residents over the age of 65 and stands proudly among an array of beautiful gardens. This site is easily accessible by bus (no.141) and is just 9 miles from Nottingham city centre!

The Role

NCHA are seeking a part time Catering Assistant working two 5-hour shift 13:30-18:30 over a 7-day rota. All rotas are planned in advance to enable you to plan ahead and have a great work-life balance.

With no experience needed, thanks to our generous training provision, we can teach you to become a top tier Catering Assistant.

Working under our Catering Team leader and alongside our other kitchen colleagues, you will assist in the preparation of food including hot meals sandwiches, snacks and desserts. Food will be presented nicely and service will be given with a smile.

Sherwood House is like one big family so working as a team will be easy-going. Contributing to keeping the kitchen environment safe and clean will be a part of your role including writing menus and laying tables.

Requirements

* Ability to provide excellent customer service

* Experience or awareness of cooking and food handling

* Have a food hygiene certificate or willing to undertake training.

* Basic level of literacy and numeracy

* Reliable

* Demonstrable ability to be a team player and support others in the workplace
