Kitchen Assistant (Extra Care Scheme)

£22,020 per annum (pro rata’d based on agreed hours) and assistance with travel within a 5 miles radius.
Permanent
Part time (9:30am – 2:30pm)
Every Monday and alternate Saturday & Sunday – 5 hours per shift
Your main duties will include basic food preparation, keeping the kitchen and restaurant clean along with Front of House duties.
What you will be doing:

Supporting all Chefs within the kitchen environment to provide a first-class customer experience by delivering a high-quality food service.

Basic food preparation
*
Disposing of food waste, emptying bins
*
Washing up and clearing and cleaning the kitchen surfaces and areas
*
Unloading and putting away deliveries
*
Ensuring adequate supplies of clean utensils and crockery
*
Clearing and sanitising tables in dining area, sweeping and mopping floors in kitchen and dining area
*
Deep cleaning fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety
*
Taking action to minimise wastage at all stages of food production
We’d love to meet someone with:

A passion to support kitchen staff in producing high quality food and food service
*
Ability to work on own initiative as well as an effective team player
*
Attention to detail
*
Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to communicate at all levels
*
MS Word, Excel, Outlook experience
*
Appropriate Food Hygiene Certificate would be desirable but not essential
