Job Description: IT Technician.
Location: Albourne, West Sussex.
Reports to: Head of IT.
£23,000-£26,000 Office Based.
***Candidates need to own or have access to a car, as clients office is not commutable by Public Transport***
My client provides solutions for the provision or upgrade of Optical (including FttH), RF (HFC) or Twisted Pair Access Networks.
Job Summary:
This is an office based role to assist the Head of IT for maintaining the IT infrastructure and providing day to day service to end users through the prioritisation of work. Complete initial triage of the issue and resolve where able, escalating more complex queries within the IT team, 3rd parties and to the Head of IT where appropriate.
Ensure the business has the IT equipment to undertake their role effectively processing requests for IT kit set-up in line with business needs.
Assisting with producing reports and documentation within the IT Department.
Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and promote opportunities for enhancing the existing IT architecture and infrastructure to optimise the company’s operational delivery.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to internal customers. Work collaboratively with the business to ensure the service delivered is appropriately delivered and to their requirements including but not limited to the support of databases, printers, networks, desk phones, mobiles,desktops, laptops etc.
• Ensure the companies client devices, network, systems, and data are secure with appropriate defences and processes in place to keep security up to date.
• Ensure all work is prioritised accordingly updating the user regularly with prompt completion of work.
• To ensure availability of services, prioritising operational focus and to recommend and manage any change to process to improve BAU and enhance productivity.
• Helping to maintain the asset management systems for equipment & software.
• Maintain access rights for day-to-day users and license management.
• Basic network installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Build, Setup and deploy equipment & software.
• Assist in the recovery of equipment & software.
• Assist with the creation and maintaining report.
• Ensure your work is undertaken safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Any other tasks that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
Knowledge and Skills:
-Solid technical background with exposure and experience of Microsoft Products, Windows Installation & Setup, general hardware, and troubleshooting.
-Microsoft 365 administration – including Azure, AzureAD, InTune, Exchange, SharePoint Teams, Tenancy administration.
-Basic knowledge of network infrastructures, web technologies and security best practices.
-Able to fix and repair PC hardware.
-Ideally would have Power BI skills.
-Positive ‘can do’ attitude. Ability to excel under pressure and adopt effective problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions.
-Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skill.
-Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues in a suitable fashion.
-Solution driven with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
-Ability to adhere to IT governance and processes.
-Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external to the group.

Education and Qualifications:
• Associate degree or advanced apprenticeship in Computer Science or relevant disciplines.
• Would like 2 years’ experience.
• ITIL preferable.
