IT Service Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £28000 – £38000/annum
Pyramid8 are working with a leading Scientific Company based in Sheffield to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their growing business. They have recently opened up brand new offices on the outskirts of Sheffield. This is an amazing atmosphere to work in with use of an onsite Gym, Breakout areas with games tables and a genuine company that cares about the development of their employees.
Our client is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation and software to the Life Science Sector, and they deliver the highest quality products and exceptional service. They are an award-winning business who continue to grow year on year.
You will be supporting the group of business based in the UK with support to their European and US based sites also.
The Role
Working in a small dynamic team with the direction of the Group IT Manager, you will help maintain and develop our core IT systems, support users onsite and remotely across the Group. This will be a great opportunity for you if you are looking to use and develop your skills across a wide range of systems. You should be ready to hit the ground running in a busy working environment within our growing business.
Responsibilities
* Providing 2nd Line support to users within the Group of companies
* Answering support requests from colleagues, creating and managing support tickets
* Taking ownership of issues and identifying appropriate solutions to bring resolve
* Assist in development of IT systems and internal processes
* Monitoring of systems to ensure maximum availability
Requirements
* Team player with ‘can do’ attitude
* Enjoy problem-solving and helping others Strong communication skills
* Solid understanding of Microsoft environments
* Good understanding of TCP/IP networks
* Proven experience or qualifications for supporting the following:
* VMware or HyperV o Windows Server
* Office 365 ecosystem
* Endpoint protection systems
* Backup solutions
* Aruba / Cisco Switch configurations
* Firewall
