If you are an experienced Insurance Executive, ideally with commerical insurance experience, looking to work as an integral part of a team rather than a number in a large corporation, then we could have the opportunity for you!
You must have UK insurance experience of 2 years plus., regulated by the FCA.
Role: Insurance Executive
Location: Ampthill, Beds in March 2023
Salary: circa £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience etc plus performance related bonus.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am – 530pm (37.5 hours per week)

They support many business and clients with all insurances and have a great repeat and recommended portfolio gained in their 30 years plus of trading.
Purpose:
* Effectively handle all queries relating to both existing and new Commercial Insurance clients in a professional manner.
* Focus on the retention of renewals
* Assist commercial clients in the handling of claims from the initial reporting all the way through to the settlement of the claim.
* Develop and maintain relationships with both Clients and Insurers.
* Ensure that all customers are treated fairly in line with both the company’s TCF policy and the FCA guidelines.
Main Tasks:
* Negotiate the renewal of Commercial policies. This includes insuring the premium and terms put forward to the clients still remain the most competitive and the most suitable for their needs.
* Respond to enquiries from clients, prospected clients or Underwriters/Insurers in a timely and professional manner.
* Effectively manage Commercial Claims to ensure the companies clients receive fair treatment and to ensure the claims are being handled in a timely manner.
* Ensure that the advice given to the clients remains professional and accurate at all times. If there is any hesitation over the advice given, this is to be referred to a senior member of staff to work together and support and advice in the best, most professional way.
* Essential to ensure paper and electronic files are kept up-to-date. This includes keeping a written report of any telephone conversations and printing off each email relevant to a particular file.
* Must maintain an effective diary system to keep track of invoicing and up coming renewals etc.
* A Minimum of 35 hours of Continual Personal Development must be completed each year and recorded on the Aviva On-line system – This is in line with FCA Guidelines and the CII minimum requirements a member of the institute.
* Ensure the complaints procedure is executed where necessary by swiftly reporting all complaints to the Complaints officer
Main Skills required:
* The ability to meet strict deadlines
* Being able to manage and prioritise workloads to focus on the most urgent requirements.
* Ability to effectively negotiate with both Insurers and our clients.
* Ability to communicate professionally with both insurers and our customers whether in writing, face-to-face or by telephone.
* Ability to work under pressure in a calm/professional manner.
* Good knowledge of computer systems.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Renewal retention rate
* Client satisfaction in the handling of claims.
* Conversion rate on New Business Quotes
* Accuracy of documentation (both online records and the manual files)
* Maintenance of diary system
* Customer/Insurer feedback
Specific Knowledge Required:
* Intermediate knowledge required for the main classes of business insurance including Property Damage, Casualty, Motor Fleet and Professional Lines.
* Intermediate knowledge required in the handling of claims including but not restricted to Motor Claims, Property Damage claims etc
