The South West's leading IT solutions provider are hiring in their technical department. They're VMware, Microsoft, and Dell accredited partners and certifications/training is funded and available for all aspiring technical engineers.
Joining a team of 6, as part of a broader technical department of 15, you'll operate at Infrastructure Engineer level. The business offer managed service, infrastructure modernisation, consultancy, and workspace transformation solutions to enterprise level businesses across the South West and work with industry leaders across multiple market sectors.
The role
* Manage the installation, maintenance, and support of IT hardware, software, and communication systems
* Maintain and support clients ICT infrastructure, ensuring it is fit for purpose, performant, reliable and secure.
* Apply specialist and expert skills in infrastructure, networking and communication technologies to ensure that the IT network is able to support business growth and demand.
* Provide third/fourth line technical support for business users and systems where necessary and escalated from the 2nd line support team
Skills and experience required
* 3+ years relevant IT experience working with network infrastructure in a technical role
* Knowledge of information security principles
* Knowledge of general networking
* Excellent technical problem-solving skills
* Experience in implementing and supporting ICT infrastructure
* Ability to write high quality technical documentation
* Hands-on knowledge and experience of multiple of the following: Office 365 and Azure: vSphere (VCP), Horizon View, Hyper-V, Microsoft server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange / O365, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft RDS, SAN & SAN Fabric, Backup/business continuity, LAN networking, Wireless networking, Citrix XenApp,
