Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Job Type : Contract, Temporary, Part Time, Part Time
Salary : £85 – £95/day
Initial Education are looking to recruit experienced, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants, to work with our schools in the Forest of Dean.
You will have worked in schools and delivered lessons under the direction of the class teacher; you will have secure knowledge of the primary curriculum and be able to implement lessons, which you have helped to develop.
Requirements:
* A qualified HLTA or working towards the HLTA qualification or equivalent qualification
* Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* Have excellent teaching skills
* Have good IT skills to support children's learning
* Be an effective communicator
* Experience working with children with additional needs
* Use an understanding of children's social, emotional and mental health needs in order to create a safe environment in which children can learn
Rate of Pay: £85 to £95 per day, depending on experience
All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to apply for one) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of 2 years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks.
