HGV Class 2 Driver

Salary : £20800 – £24960/annum
One of the largest Waste Management businesses in Anglesey is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team. If you enjoy driving, working independently and are confident in dealing with people then this driving role may be the opportunity for you.
During your typical day, you will drive and operate specialist tankers for the transport and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The length of your journey can vary across short and medium distances and you will be utilised around a wide range of routes across the area. For doing this, you will receive a competitive salary, premium rates for weekend and bank holiday working as well as full training.
As an HGV Driver, your daily duties will include:
Driving vacuum tankers to pick up and transport waste from septic tanks, treatment works/plants, cesspits, pumping stations and wet wells;
Driving road sweepers;
Driving combination units;
Both planned and reactive work;
Set up pipework and fittings, and move pipes on and off vehicles;
Completion of paperwork such as time sheets, logbooks, consignment/ waste transfer notes, weighbridge paperwork etc
Comply with all health and safety and driving regulations, reporting any issues to the H&S Manager/ Transport Manager
Drainage work including jetting and cleaning using high powered jetting units;
Incident reporting in line with compliance requirements; i.e. spillages, accidents, near miss reporting;
We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills and experiences:
HGV Class 2 Licence
At least 2 years HGV Driving experience
Valid CPC Card
Clean UK driving licence
No DR/DD convictions Good knowledge of the area i.e. Gwynedd and Anglesey
Flexibility to accommodate early AM shift Start times and occasional weekends
Numerate with the ability to work out loads etc.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday – Friday with 40 hours guaranteed and overtime available on Weekends when necessary.
In return you will receive a salary of £20,800 – £24,960 depending on experience per annum plus bonus.
