Health and Children’s Centre Adviser
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £9.81/hour
The post is designed to support the Health & Children’s Centre service to promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of children from pregnancy to 5 years through the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and the Children’s Centre Statutory Framework.
As part of the Health & Children’s Centre team you will provide information, advice and guidance to families as well as offer support to the team and centre, which may include undertaking a range of administrative duties to ensure teams are achieving all of the performance targets.
You will support colleagues with the planning and delivery of group activities and be responsible for ensuring the centres offer a warm and welcoming environment.
Typical responsibilities of a role at this level
• To provide information and signposting for children, young people and families to relevant universal and specialist services in the local area and beyond where appropriate.
• To pro-actively use IT and electronic directories and sources of information and signpost colleagues to appropriate sources of data and information
• Follow best practice and effective ways of working to support children, young people and families and identify improvements or areas of development
• To record and maintain quality data to Suffolk County Council requirements, supporting successful completion of Quality Assurance processes within team
• Provide strengths-based approach to practice consistent with that of Signs of Safety
