Head of SEO – hybrid working

Salary : £100000 – £120000/annum
Ashdown Group have been engaged by a leading digital first organisation to assist them recruiting a highly strategic and commercial Head of SEO.
This is offered on a hybrid working basis, 2 days working from home and 3 days in their Hampshire based offices.
Reporting to the CMO , you will be responsible for leading the SEO strategy and managing a small team to deliver growth and engagement through organic search.
The SEO and digital Team is responsible for delivering all elements of the SEO strategy across content, technical implementation, and outreach. Do you have experience driving significant increases in performance through your expert knowledge of SEO and able to demonstrate this at a strategic level?
As well as being responsible for the training and mentoring of a small talented team, you will be using your expert knowledge to demonstrate how SEO integrates into the company’s digital marketing strategy. You will be the SME and reference point for all things SEO , keeping up to date with emerging digital marketing trends and technologies.
You’ll be an expert at reports, reporting regularly on SEO performance, against KPIs, metrics, and ROI. You'll oversee audits on a regular basis you will continually monitor and review visitor performance and using your analytical skills produce reports on performance against target and budget.
Collaboration is critical and you will work with other teams across the organisation, including content, product, and technology, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all initiatives.
To be considered you must have the following
Expertise in all areas of organic performance
Advanced knowledge of SEO tools and platforms like Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or equivalent.
Proven ability to solve complex and strategic problems
Strong commercial background with prior experience within a management role
Passionate about SEO and can convey the integral role SEO plays to others
Great communicator with experience of working in an agile community
