Head Chef – Brixton SW9 – to £16.55 per hour – Permanent – 40hrs Full Time
I am looking for a Chef (Permanent 40hrs Full Time) to work in a Nursing Home in Brixton SW9 (working for the highly regarded company BUPA Care Homes, a market leading Healthcare Organisation).
Details are –
· £13.24 – £16.55 per hour depending on experience
· Permanent contract 40 hours week
· Shift times 7:30am – 4:30pm, Working days to include alternate weekends
· You will also be paid a fantastic Welcome Bonus of £1000
· Earn a £500 quarterly bonus, subject to hitting KPI's
JOB DESCRIPTION
·Working in an Elderly Nursing Care Home, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service, planning menus for the elderly residents, which are varied and interesting to meet individual tastes and dietary requirements.
·As the Chef you will be supported by 2 Kitchen Assistants, and you will have to support with the cooking of the food.
·It’s a Care home with elderly residents with some requiring modified diets like soft and bite size or pureed food.
·An understanding of IDDSI and diabetic meals would be an advantage as well as an understanding of how to increase calories for residents who have lost weight or require increased protein etc.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
·An experienced caterer (5 years) with excellent management skills is required, with good planning, budget and stock control abilities.
·Experience of working in a Care/Nursing Home is advantageous.
·Experience of Training, developing and managing a kitchen team.
