Grounds Maintenance Operative

This is a great opportunity to join a long-standing family company as a Grounds Maintenance Operative/Grounds Person, maintaining the grounds at various commercial family properties including warehouse complexes, farms etc.
As an experienced grounds maintenance operative, you will mainly be looking after the grounds around a warehousing and manufacturing site including:
general gardening duties – cutting grass using a ride on lawnmower, strimming, weeding etc.,
driving a 20 tonne Loading Shovel, loading aggregate on to dumper trucks (training will be given),
light field/farming work,
ensuring light machinery and hand tools are clean and well kept,
reporting to the facilities manager any faults or damage found to the grounds or buildingsAs Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be required to work 07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Friday each week and will be paid between £10.50 and £12.00 an hour depending on experience.
To be considered as a Grounds Maintenance Operative you must have previous experience of having worked as a grounds person/grounds maintenance operative including experience of driving/operating ride on lawnmowers.
A current Loading Shovel licence would be ideal but is not essential as full training will be given.
You must also have a good attention to detail and a thorough attitude to ensure that all of the grounds are in excellent condition.
