Glendale works with a number of long term contracted clients managing and maintaining areas across south west England. Glendale Managed Services has revenues of £52 million, operating throughout the UK. Glendale's activities include grounds management, landscaping, countryside activity including forestry and horticulture.
The Opportunity
This is a new opportunity to support new long term contracts delivering term ground maintenance contracts and vegetation management throughout the region. The new contract manager will continue long term relationships whilst developing our people and develop our business in the area. Based at our Blandford or Midsomer Norton depot, the successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive contract manager, able to offer local operational management and support to our customers and service users across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to both develop new business and maintain existing client relationships. Directly managing supervisors and the teams you will monitor the progress of work, taking quick and effective action to maintain health and safety, high productivity, customer satisfaction and profit targets. Working to clear procedures you will ensure all work meets quality and safety standards across the region for a wide variety of clients.
The Person
Candidates will require Grounds maintenance knowledge with a minimum of 2 years multi-site management experience in a similar role. A UK drivers licence is essential.. Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, whilst maintaining effective control of costs, programming and monitoring of work are all pivotal to the role. In addition, you will need good time management and administrative skills, and show leadership coupled with excellent communication skills.
