We are looking to recruit a qualified Landscape Operative to work in an ongoing landscape gardening and gardening maintenance. Candidates with own transport living close to the property preferable.
All tools and machinery will be supplied.
Qualifications
Gardening knowledge and qualifications are vital.
Minimum of level 2 in Horticulture
Minimum 3 years in garden maintenance with both hard and soft landscaping skills.
You should be able to identify various plants know their relevant plant care propagation.
Current CSCS card (Preferred but not essential)
Clean full UK driving licence preferred.
Your role will also involve the development of these gardens therefore DIY skills are preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Horticultural/soft landscaping experience and knowledge of leading contracts
Experience of using hand and power tools, equipment and machinery
Care and maintenance of power tools, equipment and machinery
Experience of towing trailers
Key Responsibilities
Landscape maintenance – lawn care, hedge care, plant care, pruning, tree care.
Maintain & development water feature mainly medium size pond and small lake.
Preparing ground and sowing seed & turf
Shrub planting
Tree, shrub & hedge planting
Simple hard landscaping projects
Ensures a thorough understanding of tasks before commencement
Plans ahead and ensures correct tools, equipment and machinery is available
Foresees problems and hold-ups, suggests action(s) to resolve issues
Takes responsibility for care of company tools, equipment, and machinery.
