Salary : £14.29 – £15/hour
Build Recruitment are working with a Public Sector client to source a Gardener (Grounds Maintenance) for a 6 week contract: £14.29 – £15.00 per hour.
The contract will run from 28th May 2024 – 5th July 2024
Reporting to the Head of Grounds Maintenance, the gardener will be responsible for planned maintenance of the grounds as well as all grass areas outside additionally owned properties.
Key responsibilities will include planting and weeding, bedding areas, hanging baskets and shrubs as well as trimming hedges as and when required.
The gardener will also be responsible for grassed areas, cutting lawns using appropriate grass cutting equipment as well as applying chemicals and fertilizers as appropriate. In addition to horticulture, the gardener will be responsible for undertaking repairs to perimeter fencing, as well as repairs to potholes and pathways.
The gardener will be expected to hold a full UK driving licence as they will be responsible for driving vehicles around the grounds in a safe manner.
