Our busy catering operation at Saltholme Reserve is looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to join the team. We are looking for an individual who can deliver the highest standards and customer care and assist with the day-to-day running of the cafe operation in line with set RSPB procedures and routines.
The staff in the Saltholme cafe pride themselves on providing excellent food and customer service. We are looking for someone to cover the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role.
The purpose of this role is to help lead the integration and delivery of all catering elements, creating an exemplar customer experience, to maximise the income and profit of the RSPB cafe and catering offer.
Key work areas:
* Responsible for cooking, kitchen preparation, cleaning
* Ensuring the cafe is delivering the highest standard of customer care.
* Ensure the cafe is commercially merchandised according to the agreed layout and stock levels are appropriate.
* To be responsible for the efficient day to day running of the cafe.
* To deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager during their absence.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
* Experience of making a variety of fresh food.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A team player who can influence, motivate and inspire people at all levels..
* Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback.
* Well-developed food presentation skills.
Additional Information
This is a permanent position of 28 hours per week with the possibility of increasing weekly hours to cover busy times and staff shortages.
