ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a temporary contract ending in June 2024

All whilst maintaining high quality, hygiene, maximum production, and a high level of safety – our number one priority here at McCain.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

Although we do encourage you to taste the goods you’ll be pleased to know we don’t pay you in chips. For working hard, you’ll also get a great hourly rate and some pretty good benefits including:
• An excellent pension where we will pay double what you do, up to a maximum of 12% of your pay
• Optional health cash plan
• Cycle to work scheme
• ‘Chips In’ Volunteering Day Off – to make a positive impact to the competitiveness, resilience, and long-term development of McCain communities across the globe

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Full UK drivers licence
• Industrial mast FLT certificate (within 3 years)
• Basic understanding of the potato industry
• Basic numeracy skills
• Flexible to work overtime when required
• Good communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Previous exposure to health & safety procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks

WHAT YOU'LL WORK
Our standard week is 40 hours Monday-Friday. However as this is a seasonal role we do require flexibility to work 12 hours shifts during harvest & grading.

WHERE WILL I WORK?
Our Seed Operation is based in Montrose, a town situated 38 miles north of Dundee and 42 miles south of Aberdeen, Scotland. Not only does it have the world’s best seed potato operation (our opinion but probably fact!) it’s also lined with award-winning sandy beaches, cosy pubs, and the stunning Montrose Basin Nature Reserve
