Financial Controller – Interim
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £65000 – £80000/annum
This rapidly growing FMCG producer is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the team on a 12 Fixed Term Contract. A business critical role, you will need professional confidence as well as technical ability to ensure smooth management of our Finance department; covering invoicing, credit control. Cashflow and purchase ledger.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Timely and accurate delivery of all financial reporting within guidelines and appropriate financial standards
* Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate monthly consolidated management accounts
* Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, including annual consolidation, profit & loss accounts, cash flows and balance sheets
* Ensuring returns for corporation tax, VAT, PAYE and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with
* Managing relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other parties
* Driving the function to a cost-effective supply of transaction and financial control services, focusing on operational design and business process
* Leading the group in balance sheet and cash flow management through the provision of appropriate reporting and behavioural standards
* Ownership for the design, implementation and delivery of the finance timetable
* Establishing & maintaining highly focused analysis of business performance across all core business dimensions, with identifiable actions undertaken
Qualifications / Experience:
* Relevant accounting qualification – ACMA/ ACA
* Experience within manufacturing and processing industries
* Major food retailing exposure (advantageous)
* Experience managing a high-volume / low-margin environment, requiring prompt and accurate management
