Finance Assistant – Hybrid working 3 days in office/ 2 at Home

Main Duties & Responsibilities
This role is reporting to the Finance Controller supporting the daily finance functions, knowledge and experience working in a finance department is essential but this would suit an indivudal who is looking to progress their career in a finance role as training in all areas will be provided
Sales Invoicing
* Daily system invoicing of UK, AG, ZAR & passthroughs, prepare manual invoices with supporting documentation e.g. Packing List, Certificate of origination, Certificate of conformity, bill of laden, material safety data sheet etc.
* Upload invoices to customer portals when required
* Export Documents – Letter of credit, Cash Against Documents, Bank Guarantees etc.
* Marine Insurance
Sales Ledger
* Debt collection, processing manual invoice/credits
* Account reconciliations
Purchase Ledger
* AP invoice processing Intercompany/external statement reconciliations
* Liaising with suppliers & logistics to solve any queries
The Candidate
Liaise with auditors – Prepare information for the audit.
Excellent communication skills are required both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels.
Able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines required, flexibility and stay organised.
Experience in Exportation of goods, of Letters of Credit and associated export documentation would be advantageous
Must be able to thrive in a dynamic fast-pace setting.
Dealing with large automated accounting systems.
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
