Our client is currently recruiting for a farm assistant to join their busy agricultural team
Candidates need to be ideally be experienced within the sector.
Main duties will include –
• Feeding and looking after farm animals
• Treating animals
• Ploughing fields, sowing seeds and harvesting crops
• Operating and repairing farm machinery like tractors, ploughs and milking machinery on dairy farms
• Maintaining farm buildings and equipment
• Trimming hedges, clearing drains and ditches and mend farm equipment and buildings
Candidate attributes –
• Have a thorough and pay attention to detail and be a team player
• Physical skills like strength, balance and coordination
• Having the patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
• Be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
