Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The main purpose of the Embedded Software Engineer is to design, develop and the maintenance of software for METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE's existing and new generation Metal Detectors.
The key responsibilities are:
* Perform software development to written technical specifications
* Continually strive for improvement through the adoption and implementation of industry best practice
* Develop/interpret written/verbal business requirements and technical specification documents
* Investigate, analyse and document reported defects
* Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
* Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates and techniques
* Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.
What You Need to Succeed
* Proven experience developing C/C++ applications
* Degree qualified in electronics, physics or similar discipline
* Track record in the full software development life-cycle and having experience delivering and supporting embedded products in the market place
* Experience of developing with ANSI C applications in a real-time embedded environment
* Able to demonstrate a level of knowledge of hardware design and be comfortable designing and debugging software at the hardware device driver level
* Experienced in writing software targeted at a variety of microprocessor platforms including single and multi-threaded RTOS based applications
