We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis based in the Warwickshire area.

The Role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure maintenance and reliability targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditation's (BRC and FEMAS).

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring all routine PPM tasks are completed on time, safely and to the site food and feed safety standards.
Assisting production with equipment breakdown both during normal day shift and whilst on-call.
Working with the maintenance manager to further develop, optimise and improve site maintenance regime.
Assisting, where required, with the installation of new process equipment and modifications.
To comply with all the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company Health and Safety policy.
To respond efficiently and pro-actively to plant breakdowns.
To ensure workshops and spares warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy.
To work with the rest of the site team highlighting opportunities for operational and business improvements.

The Person

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer must be a self-starter who is driven and motivated to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.  An inquisitive mindset is essential combined with a high attention to detail is required at all times to minimise downtime when addressing breakdowns or routine maintenance operations.

You will work alongside an experienced and dedicated maintenance department, so teamwork is essential as well as the ability to work unsupervised.

Experience required for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Educated in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and understanding of Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance.
Experience working in maintenance within a processing and/or manufacturing environment.
A good understanding automated equipment to include conveyors and hoppers.
Working knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP or MAXIMO is desirable.
