Class Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a ‘Outstanding’ Nursery School in Hitchin that are looking to recruit a Level 3 or above Early Years Practitioner.

The School
This beautiful Nursery School has a strong reputation within the local community and is particularly proud of its commitment to supporting children with SEND and their families. The School follows a Forest School ethos and is fully engaged in Mindfulness practice and having 'Kindness and Gratitude' Values. Within the grounds of the Nursery they have a Pre-School and also a Daycare setting. All three provisions work closely together and the successful applicant will need to be willing and able to work across any of the provisions if this is needed.
The Role
Class Education, on behalf of this Nursery School are looking for a staff member to join their busy and ever-expanding team to be part of the 'Key Teacher' group which is made up of two qualified teachers and six EYPs.
The applicants will need to have a Level 3 in a Child Care qualification and good experience is needed. A record of sound CPD is also required.
The role will include having responsibility for a key group of children every morning – accountable for teaching and learning and children's welfare and carrying out assessments- please see the attached job description for full details. This job also includes working Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and attending after school staff meetings on both these days.
The role will include having a responsibility for a subject leader role and developing this subject across the school.
The successful applicant will need to be willing and able to work across the Nursery School, pre school and day care setting. Hours will include attending staff meetings and planning & assessment meetings and attending all Inset days. There are also two weekends a year dedicated to Open Days to promote the school.
