The Opportunity

Solis Recruitment have partnered with a well established British Retailer on the lookout for a Web Analyst / Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist to join their growing team.

They are focussing on enhancing customer experiences, and are on the lookout for a Web Analyst who will explore the current customer journey, build sound hypothesis on how this could be improved and then test (A/B or multivariate) to validate the hypothesis.

The role will suit someone passionate about data, naturally curious to push boundaries and can turn data into tangible commercial insights to inform digital decision making.

The Role

As the CRO Specialist, you will act as the link between the Trading and User Experience team, exploring the customer journey, analysing factors that contribute to bounce rates, functionality issues of the website (desktop / mobile), colour schemes, text or images. You will have a natural curiosity and want to look through how to best maximise the impact of the website, by creating a hypothesis and then validating it through the website.

Day to day responsibilities include:

* Researching and analysing traffic to PLP's and PDP's and assessing the performance of CTR's, products added to baskets, conversions, abandoned baskets etc…

* Explore factors preventing and/or hindering customer's purchasing and explore way to increase the number of conversions

* Assess the User Journey and identify areas for improvement. Build hypothesis' from the website analytics to recommend areas that will increase sales, the test changes to assess the impact

* Share and present insights across the team

* Supporting different research needs, and keeping up to date with best practices, new methodologies and tools for CRO

Skills and Experience Required

To be successful in your application you will:

* Have at least 2 years' experience working with Conversion Rate Optimisation, User Research, Web Analytics, Ecommerce Trading (focussed on CRO) or a similar field

* Advanced Google Analytics skills and experience using other optimisation tools such as Hotjar, Monetate, Optimizely, ContentSquare, Mouseflow, CrazyEgg etc….

* Experience conduction A/B or Multivariate Testing

* A good working knowledge of HTML and CSS

* A good understanding of the eCommerce landscape

* Ability and confidence to work independently, collaborate with different teams and present research/finding to senior internal stakeholders
