Cnc Setter Operator

GPS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Milling and Lathe Setter/Operator based in Hertfordshire, covering a broad range of Sectors Including Motorsport, Robotics, Aerospace and Defence. The day to day role will be ensuring mills have minimal downtime and working efficiently to produce high precision components to drawing specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working from tooling information given by programmer
* Setting Tools
* Defining machine datums
* Prove out new jobs
* Editing machine offsets
* Carrying out first off inspection checks
* Maintaining machining tolerances
* Interpreting engineering drawings
* Collaborating with inspectors to ensure drawings tolerances are met
* Self-management of work load to work efficiently
Experience:
* Experience Operating CNC Mills
* Experience Setting and operating
* Ideally experience using Heidenhain controls and DMG Machines
* Background producing CNC machined components for motorsport, aerospace or similar industries requiring high standards
* Operating Lathes and Mills
