Contek Recruitment are working with a well-established Precision Engineering company in Portsmouth who have a state of the art facility, who are seeking a CNC Miller to join their team. My client is a subcontract machine shop for a variety of customers including aerospace, marine and motor along with prototyping and new tooling.
We are looking for an experienced 5 axis machinist who is used to working in a fast paced environment. You would need to preferably have a tool room background, with knowledge of rubber and injection mould tooling and also have experience with F1 and precision engineering components.
Due to new acquisition, my client are making improved changes and investing into the future.
This position is a Dayshift role: Working hours will be 40 hour weeks Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm with plenty of overtime if wanted and needed.
The Role:
As a CNC Programmer, your duties will include;
* Programming, setting and Operating CNC Milling machines using HEIDENHAIN Controls
* Experience with machines – Hedelius, Dmg’s or NSV’s.
* Working to tight tolerances
* Using 3-5 axis machinery
* iTNC530 control knowledge

You will be programming offline on Machining Strategist or NCG CAM. (Other offline packages will be considered)
The Candidate:
To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess the following;
* Strong experience setting and operating – HEIDENHAIN
* Confidently able to write own programmes from scratch
* Able to read and work to technical drawings
* Able to work unsupervised
* Offline programming
