CNC Machinist

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting for a CNC Machinist for our client in Chesterfield
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Engineering business for a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer.
Our client has an excellent reputation for producing high quality components to the best standards. Due to continued growth and expansion, coupled with recent investment in machinery, we have a position for a skilled and experienced CNC Turner.
As the successful candidate, you will have an interesting and varied workload in a busy machining environment alongside a team of other highly skilled engineers.
Person Specification
* CNC programming, setting and operating experience
* Proactive with excellent organisational skills and a positive approach to continuous improvements
* Experience working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Plastics
* Competent working from engineering drawings
* Excellent teamworking and communication skills
* Self-motivated with a hands-on approach and reliable
* Excellent housekeeping skills in line with 5S requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating CNC Lathes with Fanuc & XYZ Prototrak controls
* Machining to tight tolerances
* Inspection of 1st offs on batch work
* Inspection and sign off of other CNC machinists work
* Working with a variety of inspection equipment including Faro Gage, Bore Gauges, Verniers, micrometers etc
* Offline programming using One CNC – not essential and training would be provided
* Manual/conventional turning on occasion
* Providing technical support and guidance to apprentices
* Working in line with 5S requirements
* Adherence to all Health & Safety guidelines
Days or Nights shifts available
Overtime available
Excellent rates of pay + Overtime
