My client in Southend‐On‐Sea is currently in need of a CNC Machinist.
My client is a world class manufacturer supplying into key sectors within engineering/manufacturing.
The role:
Main responsibilities:
* Responsible for setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits,
* Responsible for working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times,
* Responsible for manufacturing all components within an agree timescale,
* Responsible for setting a variety of CNC machine tools for operators as and when required,
* Responsible for using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture,
* Responsible for making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit,
* Responsible for mentoring new staff as required,
* Responsible for making sure that all manufacturing paper work is filled out correctly.
Essential Skills
* Minimum 3 to 5 years CNC Milling or Turning experience,
* Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC machines and use measuring equipment,
* Mazak or Fanuc CNC Machining Centre experience,
* Computer literate and methodical,
* Ability to work using Metric and Imperial.
Working Hours:
You have the choice to work the day or night shift
Day shift
Mon – Thurs: 08:00am – 05.00pm (30 mins lunch)
Fri: 08.00am – 01.00pm (no lunch)
Night Shift hours:-
Mon – Thurs: 05.30pm to 02.30am (30 min lunch)
Fri: 03.30pm – 08.30pm (no lunch break)

The hourly rate for the role for day shift is £13.97+ per hour and the Night shift is £20.95 per hour.
