Monday to Friday hours worked from 6am to 8pm (days shifts): £11.68 paye inclusive per hour

Monday to Friday hours worked from 8pm to 6am (Night shifts) / Saturday: £13.89 paye inclusive per hour

Sunday / Bank Holidays: £17.00 paye inclusive per hour

Band: 2
Working Days and Hours:

Monday to Sunday, Shift Pattern Rota – 27.5 hours a week

7 days shifts can be any of the below:

0700 – 1300 (domestic and catering)

Domestic:

* Provide a courteous efficient cleaning service within the trust.

* Use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment at all times in accordance with the operator instructions.

* Ensure that all equipment and materials are used and stored safely in compliance with COSHH regulations.

* Undertake all cleaning duties in a safe manner using hazard signs as appropriate

* To project a friendly and professional attitude to all patients, staff and visitors and to demonstrate product knowledge when enquires are made.

* Ensure that communication channels are maintained between appropriate staff / suppliers / contractors /visitor / patient groups with regard to cleaning sciences.

* Work in a safe manner so that no other persons are put at risk whilst cleaning duties are being performed.

* Initially deal with any complaints / comments regarding the service in a courteous manner from Trust staff or patients.

* As required or under supervision, provision of any ad-hoc cleaning duties complying with any specific infection control or management instruction in respect of specific cleaning requirements.

Specific duties will include:

* Vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing floors

* Cleaning of furniture and fittings including beds, lockers and chairs

* Cleaning of bathrooms and toilets

* Disposal of waste including domestic and clinical

* High and low level cleaning of ledges, window sills, curtain rails etc

* Replenishing of soap, hand towels and toilet paper

* Cleaning of any glass partitions and mirrors.

Catering:

* Preparation of vegetables, fruit, salads, sandwiches, desserts, light meals and beverages.

* The washing, drying and storage of a wide range of equipment and utensils associated with a kitchen pot wash area.

* Cleaning duties within the allocated department of work and associated areas in accordance with the department cleaning schedule.

* Up to date knowledge around dietary/ allergy knowledge will be maintained.

* The handling of monies , as required.

* Completion of Trust and departmental paperwork as required.

* Ensuring correct waste disposal procedures in accordance with Trust policy.

* Assistance with Health, Safety, Hygiene and monitoring checks/audits.

* Attendance at meetings and training sessions as required.

* To observe Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Legislation, Trust policies and procedures at all times, reporting any faults, defects or operational issues to the Head of Department/Hotel Services Manager.

* Sealing and packaging of food in preparation of delivery.

* Ensure that you wear the correct uniform provided and that it is clean and tidy.

* Ensure portion sizes are adhered to as specified by the Dietician and Management.

* To carry out any other reasonable request of the Manager
