Claims Handler

Case Handler
Responsibilities:
* To manage insurance claims from first advice through to settlement
* Undertake a range of loss adjusting activities.
* Investigate potentially fraudulent claims.
* Support cargo department in an efficient and effective manner
* Provide advice on making claims notifications.
* Collecting accurate information and documentation to proceed with claim.
* Monitor progress of claim.
* Identify reasons why full payment may not be made.
* Ensuring fair settlement of valid claims
* Building relationships with loss adjuster, forensic accountants and solicitors, as well as other legal/claims professionals
* Ensuring the customer is treated fairly and that the customer receives excellent service in accordance with industry and company standards.
* Adhering to legal requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards
Skills:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience of handling claims from start to finish
* Understanding of insurance claims and relevant legal/regulatory framework
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Friendly, courteous and helpful approach
* Ability to work on own initiative.
