Civil’s Setting-Out Engineer
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £250 – £300/day
This role is working for a primary project in Birmingham’s city centre which is helping shape the infrastructure for the future
The company has contracts comprising of construction and heavy civil’s elements which involves enabling works, road construction and groundworks.
The currently require a Setting-Out Engineer with
* Ability to interpret Setting out drawings/ strings
* Setting out line and level using co-ordinates via Total Station
* An understanding of construction Engineering works
* To receive all drawings and information and set out sites in accordance with same
* To provide all necessary as built drawings and information
* To plot information from and to survey equipment
* Undertake survey works- pre-commencement and upon completion
* Document control of on-site drawings and drawing register
* To keep measuring equipment in a suitable condition for accurate measurement
* To identify design errors before implementation on site and liaise with designers to
The successful Engineer will have:
* Experience in the use of CAD software
* CSCS card
* Previous experience of setting out civil engineering works such as structures, bridges, kerbs, drainage and roads
* The ability to adapt to client’s requirements
* Good communication skills with manager and groundworks operatives
Requirements:
* Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar;
* 4 years plus experience working with a Main Contractor / Sub-Contractor at the respective position;
* Experience of civil engineering works and thorough knowledge of civil engineering practices
