Catering Butcher – Axminster – £30,600
My client, an award winning, long established family business is looking to recruit an experienced Catering Butcher to work as part of their small (4 to 6 staff), but important night team. My client has grown year on year employing over 50 staff, owns 2 retail butchers/deli and a successful cutting plant that supplies products to the catering trade.  The company prides itself on its name, quality butchery and high standards
 
Salary – The successful Butcher will be employed full time and will receive a  permanent salary of £28,500 plus a bonus of £1560 (£30,600).  This salary can be further enhanced by taking on more responsibility such as the administration of the site HACCP however this is optional.  
 
Hours – Although you will be paid a full time salary you may find yourself often working less than 26 hours a week in quiet times however in busier times this will rise to 40 hours per week and in very busy periods slightly higher.  The night shifts starts at 8/8.30 pm until finish
 
Additional benefits – As well as working for a company that prides itself on its people, other benefits include Staff discount / Pension available. 5.6 weeks holiday per year booked between January to December. New year, Christmas and Boxing Day is part of the holiday entitlement however other bank holidays are worked. Pay is fortnightly/fortnight in hand. Wages paid by bacs direct into employees bank account. .
 
Key requirements for the role:
·Passionate about delivering great customer service
·Relevant experience in a retail /catering butchery environment
·Excellent knife skills and understanding of butchery techniques
·Excellent people management skills, with a proven ability to work well in a team
·Ability to drive the business forward whilst maintaining focus on standards and overall results.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person and may also suit a person that has previously worked as a Trimmer / Boner / Deboner / Retail butcher.  This role is commutable from Chard, Taunton, Yeovil, Bridport, Honiton, Dorchester
