Our client, a UK-based cool climate expert suppoting vineyards across UK, is looking for a business support officer to join their team and provide cross-departmental HR and administrative support to aid in the efficient operation of all departments.

The Business Support Officer:

The Business Support Officer will also assist the Head of Retail in managing the web store, responding to inquiries, and assisting with warehouse upkeep. The position will occasionally collaborate with the Business Director to help with the overall operations and management of the company.

* Work directly with the vineyard services team to support their efforts by organising labour, verifying this work, and providing translation services.

* Work closely with the establishment section to provide translation services to aid in their work.

* To recruit fresh personnel for all Vine Works departments through advertising

* Oversee the English or Romanian induction of new or returning workers.

* Prepare all necessary paperwork, including contracts, health and safety information, compliance.

* Data input

* The personnel information system and payroll system should both be updated and maintained as needed. If necessary, change the tax codes for workers and issue P45 and P60 forms.

* Introduce new team members to the company's standards, work responsibilities, and health and safety regulations, such as the GLAA and modern slavery laws.

* Prepare payroll data from a work trainer about twice a month.

* Entering any substitutes, loans, or holiday compensation into the system and checking twice before proceeding.

* Send the FPS to HMRC once it is finished; full instruction will be provided.

* Organize the timely distribution of pay stubs and enrollment in the company's designated pension plans.

About the right Business Support Officer:

* Very good standard of written and spoken English and Romanian – prefered

* Computer literacy in using Microsoft office suite and payroll software

* Demonstrable experience in communicating effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

* Driving licence

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people both within and outside the organisation

* Excellent attention to details

* Proven organisational and administrative skills with an ability to prioritise, work to tight timescales and deliver work on time and within budget.

* Ability to work under pressure, independently and be self-motivated.

* Ability to work flexibly within a team and adjust to changing priorities.

* Excellent ICT skills including Microsoft Office, email, internet and databases.

* Ability to lift 25kg, climb step ladder and stand for long periods where required

Hours of work

08:30- 17:00 Monday to Friday
